How to spot the real important calls vs spam callers?
27-Jan-23
I've had a lot of spam calls lately claiming to be the CRA or border security! I've even had phone calls from banks that I don't bank with. However, I have been playing phone tag with the government due to my student loans. How are we to know what are scam or spam calls and what is important?

  • I can tell if the voice sounds a long way and also has a strong accent. usually they tell me that my computer has a virus or the tax man is after me lol. I'm retired! I have a number calling my landline number which only has message bank on it and all that is said is an automated voice telling me to dial 1 for visa or mastercard refund. They just keep ringing.

    • I have caller ID. If I do not know the number or person, I do not answer.
