When visiting my new dentist recently, I thought how clever of them to hand me a piece of paper covered in a plastic sleeve clipped to a clipboard with a whiteboard marker to write out my details. The plastic sleeve is wiped when the information is put to the computer - such a clever way to save paper and emissions. Do feel there is a mad scramble to reach our 2030 emissions target as per the Paris Agreement? Have you noticed anything that would equate to a reduction in emissions? I have noticed that I do not see many plastic containers in shops, mainly glass with a plastic lid. Lots of silicon food covers are coming onto the market. A recent purchase of a can of sunscreen is minus the plastic cap, replaced with a childproof lock. My minced meat is minus the piece of paper at the base of the plastic tray. Mobile phones do not come with the whole new plug as they used to, just a lead which connects to the old plug. These are only small things, but they all add up. |
