ts good to read al of your comments about how xmas. But its sad we have forgotten the true meaning of what xmas is meant to be. God sent his only beloved son Jesus to be born as a sacrifice for many for forgiveness of our sins. May the true meaning of xmas return and not merely tradition!

I remember Christmas Eve as a very important day as the whole family shared a typical European meal until 11.30 pm,then midnight mass & afterwards rip into the presents when we got home after mass,extremely memorable as this tradition has died sadly

Too many to say however they were when the kids were young and the house was full of fun and frivolity. Always making sure the house was clean and always after the event wondering why as it became such a mess. Loved Christmas then but I have to say that an unusual present I just received from my next door neighbor is a bidet. Yes I do remember telling him many years ago I would love one after his visit to Paris and he was telling me about them but did not think anything of it until this morning and there it was. Love it!!

There are two Christmas occasions which stick to my mind as being the most memorable, simply because it just rained too much. Usually you expect it to be quite warm and dry on a Christmas day in Australia!

My most memorable Christmas present was a pony cart for my non-driving pony. I was 4 years old and a daddys girl. We fumbled through hitching and actually drove around the yard with no real mishap. The second hitch was a different story.......

coal at Christmas for those who are bad goes back hundreds of years...and strangely it is vital for "first footers" into your house on New Years eve...the first person into your house brings a piece of coal and some whisky....I love all of this

Christmas morning, all jumping on our parents bed. Parents told us to look out the window because there was snow on a near by mountain.We were disappointed because we couldn't see the snow until we took a closer look...There was a big swing set on the back lawn LOL That was over 50 years ago :-)
