Probably roast dinners ( I was making them on weekends for dinner at 11/12 as mum didn't finish work until 8pm at the earliest ) I'm in my late 50's now. Dad did shift work and often took double shifts so he was likely to have been working since the early hours. Just quietly his cooking repertoire was pretty limited as well. Risotto, from Noona to mother to me, and very likely from my great grandmother and so on.

Jackpot dinner - a simple mince dish that was made by my mother from an old recipe book. Also salmon and rice pie, also made by my mother. But sweet items - lemon slice, an old favourite made for many years by family members

As my family are all grown now I rarely cook. I'll make something every now and then but usually end up throwing it uneaten out to the Brush turkey and foxes.

Used to make Christmas cake for family until hands stopped working well. Alas my best recipe these days is Beef Mince Pie. That and Spagetti Bol. are his favourites. Started making them in my last year of high School for my family. My Dad refused to eat it unless he had a knife and fork!

Joy, wow, no doubt they are well loved and enjoyed, i hope you hand them down through generations, those recipies can live on forever, but I doubt anyone could make them as good as yours

I have been making my bread recipes for many years ( Pickle & cheese, sweet chilli & cheese, and coconut buns) Now my favourites are bagels and facon ( fake bacon)

Grilled chunky peanut butter sandwiches. I am often too lazy to cook and truthfully, too tired to even chew on occasion. I should probably be embarrassed. Yeah. Probably ashamed but I haven't the energy for introspection. Time for a PB Big Gulp.

The lonest recipe I have been making is the baked lemon sour cheese cake. I make those for birthdays and any other special occasion. the good thing about it is no-one thought me, I thought myself with a cooking book and now can almost do it with my eyes closed.

Back when I was a child (I am now 82 years of age) I can always remember my mum making the Christmas cake & pudding about 6 weeks before Christmas & on Christmas Eve making fresh mince pies so they would be baked & ready for tasting when my father & I returned from Church after attending the Christmas Eve Church service. I continued the tradition when I got married. Over here, I have used the Christmas pudding recipe I found in the Australian Woman's Weekly over 50 years ago. We are expecting to fly to the Northern Territory to spend Christmas with family & my daughter will be expecting those two items when we arrive.

I have a recipe for a fancy braided bread that I would bake to bring to every family holiday dinner. It takes 5 hours, start to finish and everyone loves it. One year, my husband and I went to Iowa for Thanksgiving with our oldest daughter and her new husband. We usually went to my brother and sister-in-law's for dinner, so my bread was missed. The next time the family got together, my SIL's sister told me not to ever do that again.

Not made a cake of any sort in years, cheaper to buy than muck about. But my mum used to make all her own cakes and puddings. My mum in law did before she died, I helped her last time we visited her, we made the xmas puddings together, steaming them. Very tasty.

The Recipe I have baked the most is my grandma's homemade refrigerator rolls I have to make them on every holiday Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day, and Easter and I have to make enough for 3 households.Edited 27-Oct-24 13:00pm

I make a Pumpkin Cake. When Fall gets here, pumpkin cakes. I give them as gifts, take to our annual fall meeting, Thanksgiving dinner and even get requests for it. I have been making this recipe for years. I am 81, and can't guess how I have made.

Unfortunately I never got any of my Nanna's recipes. I've been making unbaked cheesecakes for around 15 years now. It's never the same as I get quite creative with different flavours. I was making them and delivering to friends around town.

For me it would be Anzac cookies as they are a favourite and for my Mum it would be a Dundee cake, we always had one for our birthdays which she doesn't do any more sadly but she still can make an apple and rhubarb crumble. She's 86 and well she has stopped cooking and Dad has taken over. She burns things and she can't smell them burning which is a worry. Dad makes lasagna all the time hence Mum has gained some weight. Dad's 85 so he's still going okay for his age. He's sick as a dog ATM has some kind of cough he can't get rid of, at least he's seeing the doctor on Monday.

I always made a Scottish dumpling for my children and grandchildren. Last year I taught them how to make it for themselves so that they can teach their children - my great grandchildren - how to make it and to carry on 4he tradition.

Sadly, my cooking skills top out at burning water.

don't cook much for anyone nowadays. If I cook I chuck most of it out.

Each year I get the job of mum's recipe for prawn pate at Christmas and Easter for nibbles / starters, It's chunky chopped king prawns ,cream cheese ,fresh garlic ,lemon , dash of mayo and tabasco . Well, I consider the Christmas Cake to be a Birthday Cake but am still waiting in hope every year that the "Guest of Honour" turns up! But in the meantime Hungarian Goulash has been the one I've been making the longest because it does stretch a very long way and can use up all the wilting veggies, waste not want not!

None...I hardly ever used recipes when I cooked/baked, and now Healthy Choice, Voila' and others are my go-to dinners! Hey, living alone at 76 has it's perks! ;-D
