I have control on mysef. I do stop at sale sign but if I dont need any item, I would not buy it even if it is available at half price. Becuase if we dont need it, that half price saving is actually money wastage as we have no use of that item and it keeps lying in our wardrobes or spaces unutilises.

I prefer in-store sales rather than scrolling online but I'm not as much into sales as I used to be. A "sale" sign was something I couldn't walk past but usually found everything in my size had already been sold, but then someone told me something I found very interesting and that was if I went to a lower socioeconomic area I would find shoes and clothing in my size. So I tried it and found it to be correct. For some reason women in that area had larger feet and were a coupe of sizes larger than me resulting in my having a huge choice of items on sale. Now that I'm retired a sale sign doesn't mean the same as it once did and I know they won't have my size anyway so don't bother looking.

I take my time before I give in. So at the end I usually stop. Also, I’m fed up with the constant so called “Sales”. Specials. Deals. So they are lost their power over me. But I do understand you. Temptation...everybody feels it

No,but I do get notifications from suppliers and stores I prefer to shop from. I do have a wish list of things I or more often my teenage son needs. So if it comes about that I have discretionary income at the time and the price is good from a reputable store I like ,then I will make a purchase. For instance my last two purchases were a pair of school sneakers 70% OFF at $50 for my son.And two sets of flannelette sheets at $30 a complete set each to replace the old ones. But it is tempting.

The deals I buy are things like ice cream in pints for 50 cents, or chocolate bars for 59 cents, tuna for 69 cents and dinners for 99 cents when I shop at Grocery Outlet Bargain Market here on the island. I may not need them, but I can't resist a great deal on groceries. I lack nothing I need, and get things I want from the Garage of Blessings where everything is free. Can you tell I'm on a very limited income? ;-D

I was taught any plant that grows where it is not wanted is a weed. The same applies here if it is too cheap for something you will never need it is just a waste of money no matter what claims are made about it. I have a magic sword here that only a king can wield you can buy it for $60.00 though it is stuck in a rock and so far no one can pull it out but it is a great price. It is as useless as Teats on a Bull and needs to be treated that way.

I went shopping for jeans a few weeks ago. The price of such items left me gasping. However after another couple of weeks, to my amazement the prices had wandered back to somewhere I could afford. I buy things I need and have never realized how many SALES there must be in a year.

Some sales are good to be true. I've gotten some clothes online but find out when get item their not a good deal after all and it's being returned to store.

there are sales every where I don't know about it or must be ignoring them. I don't care. It's just with food on sales I will buy more than I intended to. I have always paid my credit card off in full every month, never paid any interest on it since I got it over 23 years ago. Or else using a debit card is the same, don't spend what you don't have. Or else have no VISA or MASTER CARD to shop on line with use PAY PAL.

When you're trying to decide the ultimate question: To Buy or Not To Buy, that is the question. You might want to ask yourself why is this item so deeply discounted? Besides the questions about the regular price, the sale price, and markup, is this really a bargain? If you had actually planned to buy the item all long, then by all means go for it. If you have ny doubts about the quality or value of the item, just walk away, fast!

I'm a sucker for a sale but I can afford to spend money on things I don't necessarily "need". I have more clothing and footwear than any one person requires but I don't pay a lot for any item, unless it's for something special. It's the low income families that get sucked into buying things they don't need and end up going without things that are vital. they are the ones I feel sorry for.

Don't be fooled by the magic sale. Yes some items are heavily discounted but they are still making a profit. We only buy what we need unless it is food like cream buns or doughnuts then we have a hard time resisting LOL. If one can afford to indulge a little every now and then, go for it. Life's too short to be too serious all the time.

I hate the beginning of a sale. it's like they release the sheeps and it is a mayhem of craziness. I prefer more a discount code or a personalised discount for me.

Prices change all the time so when a sale is on I often see it reduced to the price it was 3 weeks ago - that's not a sale!. And even more annoying when I buy that beautiful dress that I'll need next month then next week its on sale for half the price! Aaarrrggghhh!

I am not influenced by Sales. But I do go online to check which shops (especially local) have the best prices for the shopping list I have compiled. Then I work out which one shop will save me the most money. I do not dry ve from one to the other to save just a few cents. That is so silly - using petrol for virtually nothing.

No I don't shop online, but for sales in general I might make a small exception if something is affordable and I really like it last minute purchase ,. Or I will usually just be happy to find what I went to buy in the first place actually on sale !

If I truly need something, like a laptop which I do need now, I will ALWAYS wait for the sales and further to that I will ensure that whatever adult child of mine has expertise in that area looks around for something that will serve me well but not break the budget. I'm likely to be persuaded by a sales person that I should buy something that I don't need for my own needs that is more expensive otherwise. I have wasted SO much money over the years that I have realised that there is nothing better than having money IN the bank as opposed to cupboards full of random things that I never actually needed but that were a good price. Get off online shopping where you can. It should only be for research to get the cheapest price and then negotiate when in the real shop. Tempted by sales when younger but now I wait for the sales and only buy what I really need and know that the price is actually reduced.

I find it very hard to resist a good sale if it's something that we use or may need in the not too distant future. I also try very hard to not use credit cards to purchase stuff.

No as every week there is a NEW sale. Buy things when and if you need them. If you can't afford them without a credit card, then don't buy at all. I suggest ditch the credit card as these are debt traps or TRULY keep it for emergencies as you will regret your "can't resist the sale" purchases WHEN something important happens and you need to buy or replace or pay for something and you can't use your credit card because it is maxed out. A handy hint for people that are too often tempted to use credit cards is put them in the freezer (Literally freeze them in a block of ice so you have to defrost it if you need it and this gives you more time to think about whether you truly need what you are buying). I would also delete any credit card numbers from any sites you have them registered on so you are not tempted that way either.

I'm not into sales that much. I find a savings of 10% isn't worth the effort considering the original cost. I recently saw a terrific sale online from Joann Fabrics that is closing. The sales were beyond belief! I put a few things in my cart, but when I went to check out, and they wanted my credit card numbers, I chickened out! How do I know if it was legitimate? A $200 Brother sewing machine for $40. It seemed to good to be real. My thought was that they have my credit card information, and I may not have anything but trouble!
