Keeping on Time
EnBird2413-Sep-23
I was taught to be better 10 minutes early, than one minute late, no matter where you are going, because people who are always late have no respect for anyone. Even for any appointments or interviews, as if you are late, you are going to be stressed & panicking for not being there on time. Does anyone else think the same as me?

  • Same here. Always 15-45 mins early. Gives me time to relax and, get ready for the present situation. If you're late on my job twice, you're fired. I'll send your check asap...I...promise!

  • Better early than late...and better late than never.

    • You should always be on time.

      • Yes. My parents had a dry goods business and we had several people who only worked on Saturday. I remember my mother commenting that they must stand outside waiting to come back from lunch. They were often one to five minutes late but were never even a minute early.

          • YES YOU SHOULD ALWAYS BE 10 MIN EARLY IF NOT TO ME YOU ARE LATE NEED TIME TO FOUCAS
            ·
            • True. You need time to focus on that caps lock key, right?
              ·
          • Yes I do. My sister when she was dying would not wait more than 5 minutes for someone overdue as she said she didn't have the time to wait for someone. I really dislike tardy people and even when they do eventually turn up give a flippant sorry I am late and some feeble excuse. I am always early for appointments by at least 15 minutes and never keep people waiting for me. I never give belated birthday cards either. Just how we were bought up.
