I used to read magazines, and one of the reasons I lost interest is because you can't be sure of what's claimed to be factual. I had read an article on Americans and work, and it stated that, given the choice of having more free time for family and friends or more time working, the majority of Americans would prefer to work. (????) While I'm sure there are some people who would feel that way, I find it hard to believe that the majority do. It makes me wonder how valid these polls, surveys, interviews, etc., that they claimed were done really are. Were they falsified, or maybe faked altogether, to go along with what was written, with the claim the writer was making? Am I being cynical, or savvy? |
