Discussion of the Day
The little bunny that runs across the screen.
Golden Oldie23-Mar-25
Rewardia has a lot of ads, and they don t bother me at all except for that little bunny .it freaks me out.
It s bringing back too many childhood memories of my parents hunting rabbits at Kangaroo Valley then having to eat rabbit stew for dinner ugh!
It's funny how little things trigger buried memories I will be glad when Easter is over.

I hate the woman in the orange advertising loans. That ad is annoying, irritating and distracting (as are most ads that have videos). All ads are annoying but at least static ads are more tolerable.

Ugh! What a bad memory! I fortunately don't have any. I think unless it's surpressed.

I have eaten rabbit (born in in the 'deep south' - USA). I have eaten snake (reside in southwest USA - for a moment). Snakes taste a WHOLE LOT BETTER than eating rabbit! Furthermore, you still have to KNOW HOW to cook both of them! I have 'never' set foot in a church (or any religious building) in my lifetime - under any circumstances. Just the mention of religion (overtly or covertly) trigger buried memories in ME - more people have been killed (and enslaved) in the name of CHRISTIANITY than anything else on this 'godless' planet!

As kids we always had rabbits, use to love it when we use to let them out while we cleaned the cages, until one day Mum told us go and feed them but we found three missing, we ran in and told Dad that 3 are missing, Mum said that we had the family visiting the next day, and we should talk to Uncle and he will get us more, Saturday came, and something smelt nice in the kitchen, dinner time came and what was on the menu??? our missing pet rabbits, neither of us kids touched our dinner that day, and the next day Dad gave the remaining 11 back to our Uncle and we got a puppy instead

Loved Rabbit for dinner. I agree they are cute and I did have one for a pet but realistically they have destroyed so much of our land. I remember really large thick easter eggs wrapped in pretty paper that cost by memory 2 bob (shillings) each and they had a little yellow fluffy chicken on the top. A number of years back they tried to bring the Bilby animal in instead of the bunny but it never really took off albeit you can still purchase them. Unfortunately, one Bilby has become extinct and the other is close all bought about by degradation of habitat by cattle, sheep, introduced rabbits, and predators such as foxes and cats. Preservation of the remaining bilbies is going quite well with introduction of 56 Bilbies in one sanctuary and the numbers have grown to over 1700. Most of this work began in 2000 onwards. They are the cutest and most underestimated animal in Australia. We now have fewer than 10000 so hopefully these sanctuaries and new areas will increase their numbers to a safe level.

I still have trauma from childhood, when one of our pet rabbits died from a horrible skin disease.
