Discussion of the Day
The mighty quill
Paula J 39526627-Mar-25
If I want to protest, complain or even compliment I put pen to paper and send it either by snail mail or email, but others glue themselves to roadways, make a racket at a function, block waterways or interrupt speeches etc. which inconveniences others. When I write they have my name and contact details, someone reads it and in 99% of cases I get a reply. This does have advantages because I am then on their list of contacts, so I get newsletters as well as information as to what is going on, petitions and what is happening in State Parliament. Before Covid, I received samples and other products, was invited to morning tea at NSW Parliament House, invited to schmoozie doo's and met politicians, and I inconvenience no-one. Sometimes things I have complained about change, and you can't ask for better than that.
