Reduce Hours or Increase Income
In a cost of living crisis, if you are a parent that has children under 5, would you reduce your work hours so that you pay less in childcare, or find a new job that pays more, so you can afford childcare? If you reduce your work hours, the risk is that you might have to change to a lower paid job, which risks your future career development. If you look for a new job to afford childcare, you risk adding more stress to a busy family of young children. What would you choose?
