Went to the local recycling centre to get rid of some oil from car oil changes that I had done over the recent past.
I accumulate the stuff until I have a reasonable amount as going there takes well over an hour and back including the time spent waiting to get in, pay, and drop off the oil.
Over the years the price to do this has varied from 50 cents a litre to free to 90 cents.
To my surprise the cost had now jumped to $2.50 a litre.
Unbelievable.
I wonder how many people will just dump the oil rather than paying that amount.
At least now I don't have to change oil for the next 10 years, as the new car comes with fixed price servicing and a 10-year warranty.
