Caring about self firsthand, is not selfish but a way to cope with the roller coaster ride of life and other people, over time building resilience, enhanced confidence, happiness and well-being. We can then choose how we react to other peoples behaviour and or their opinions, this could be family, friends, our extended community and the world issues. I don't really care much about what people think of me. I try to do the right thing and help others if I can. What matters at the end of the day is knowing that you have not been mean or nasty to anyone and have made your best effort for the day. Some days are better than others. You will NEVER control what other people think of you ........

It's hard to survive in a social circle without caring and respecting others' opinions and views. This teaches us self-discipline and tolerance to hear different thoughts of others and respond appropriately. The same theory applies when others would be listening to our views. This is a fundamental truth about co-existence, I believe.

I care mostly about my family. I don't care about what others think of me. I'm 60 and it has taken me quite a while to realize that other people's opinions of me just don't matter. If they don't like me or something about me that's fine. I don't need friends. I'm happy with myself the way I am.

As I age, I am finding it surprising that There is very little I care about these days. Oh no. don't get me wrong: I still respect my elders, am courteous etc, etc, BUT when it comes down to the grind every day, I find that there is little or nothing I can do to change any thing. So, I care less than when I was young.

I used to work a lot with computers....a guy once explained the difference between a Mac network and a PC network.....the Mac network is female...they are always saying "hello..are you there?" to each other every few minutes....if one goes down every other one knows immediately....the PC network is male...you can unplug one and it may take the others an hour or more to work out it isn't there anymore...I like that explanation... I strongly suspect that females need to bond and be accepted far more than males...I don't spend my life on the phone "catching up" with people every week when nothing has happened...if I don't see a good mate for a year or so...nothing changes and we just pick up where we left off....people gravitate to you if they like you.....if they don't like you who cares?..I don't need their approval to be happy....if they don't like me then they can just go away and annoy someone else...... it works for me! As people grow up, we care less what others think. We are polite and ignore those who are not. Don't know where the idea of caring about what other thought came from? USA, we were bought up in the 50 and certainly did not care what others thought. Honesty, Integrity, was the mainstay. Not others opinions, BUT MAYBE this changed when the idiot box arrived from the USA?

I care about keeping life simple and not getting caught up in all the trends and rubbish that the media is always pushing at us. Sometimes it helps just to turn the news - and indeed the telly, off for a while just to get away from it all. I also care about family and friends.

Animal Abuse though I'm not into People Eating Tasty Animals idea of abuse as they are just crazy but you never mistreat any animal any longer than you absolutely have to and always try to do the right thing by it. Much easier today wheny ou can get big trucks in to move livestock around from drought areas which we did not have in the days when I was on the farm and we had to shoot the animals because there was no water for them. The other thing I care about is Exterminating all past. present and wat to be Politicians and replacing them all with a substandard Always Incorrect designed to run on a 80 CPU which falls over every 20 seconds. If that was to happen no one would be any the wiser as it would be business as normal witht he people believing that the Pollies where just feathering their own nests yet again.

I try to stay content minding my own business. I find any kind of relationship whether it be a friend colleague or partner results in a whole lot of trouble. Not worth the effort or maybe I just seem to attract the worst kind of people.

Yes we do care about what other think of us, as sometimes the things people say are very hurtful and it's hard to forgive, my husband and I love our children, grand-children and great grand-children, our fur baby (dog) too, we love a lot of things, places, people, I wouldn't say we are social animals as we like to be quiet now that we are older, we had fun when we were younger but the bodies not so willing these days, so just happy to stay home away from Covid and do our own thing whatever that may be, computers, diamond art, reading a book watching tv, gardening (Vegies and flowers) just life in general. I might be an exception then. I care about my 3 x adult children, my granddaughter and my dog, Turbo. I are no longer social. Haven't been for years after my trust got broken many times over. I don't care what others think anymore, that's their problem. You cannot take stuff with you when you die, so material items are not so important to me. I lost a parent at a young age and know how precious life is. There are too many rules and regulations trying mould humans into one package which does not fit all. The older I get the less I need to be accepted, I prefer my own company. I am married and we are both home bodies. We have a 3 legged cat as most of you know and boy didn't she cause us some heart ache but we still have her. She is now 7. We also have 2 dogs 1 is 15 and the other is 6. We worry about the old dog and we realise he may not be around for much longer sadly. I will cry my eyes out but he has had a great life. Travelled Australia with us he's even been to Tasmania too. He will be missed so much. Well I could also say family, friends, other animals, the environment. Basically all we want is a simple life. We grow some of our own food and one day we will get chickens too. Hopefully finish off our renovations which are coming along. Still need blinds, some flooring etc getting hot water in a few weeks time so then we can use on new en suite. I am so looking forward in using our bath, can't wait. Bubbles galore hehe

Each one of us is individuals who come with our ideas/feelings etc. Many things are and are not important to care about and consider in life how they affect others and how much you care. Caring can come in different ways, The need to care must be there such things as accepting others and being accepted for who they are, skin color, background, respect, religion all sorts.

There are many benefits to being left alone not every one as the social need to be with others. What I fail to understand, is if there is a need to be with others, then why are many people that love to be cruel with their words. My wife is all the friends that I need along with the friendly wave from neighbors once in a while.

Couldn't care less what anyone's opinion of me is. If they want to judge me on my looks or clothing or something they know about me then that says a lot about them. Too many people do care which leads to bullying and suicide. Just accept people for who and what they are no matter what colour they are or ethnicity or their beliefs. 'Human beings' by nature 'are not' social creatures (aka social animals), but we are NOMANDS by nature (since we are 'all' emigrants on this planet on an ongoing basis)! All of us - including me - care about other people's opinions of us - are ageism, racism, sexism, etc. with its deadly side effects would not exist on this planet. Furthermore, on one level are another level - people's opinions of other people - impacts everyone (including me) on a daily negative basis till the day we DIE!

I don't care what others think about me; I care about what I think about myself. When you care what others think about you you are just asking to be stressed more often than not. I will not alter my opinions just to fit in or appease anybody; I will listen to everybody as I love hearing what others think and why so I guess I care about learning.

I do not care about what others , besides the people I love think about me. Happiness really is about letting go of things like that, stop worrying about what others think and do.
