Recently we are researching a move to a country area from the city, and I was angry at the high cost of going through this transition. It is like a minefield. Stamp duty, capital gains, agent's fees, removalist costs, legal fees etc are far too high. To make this move, why are we going to lose over a $100,000 of our hard-earned money. In a time of housing shortage in cities, why isn't this process a lot easier and cheaper? Any thoughts from your experiences?
