These were my era. I saw the Beatles when they came to Melbourne and their show was pretty bad to be honest. Later in life I did see Mick Jagger and he did put on a good show. However, as far as music goes I think both have some good music and some not so good music. It is a tough call but I think the Beatles music has lasted and they were only together a few years whereas the Rolling Stones have been together for decades but not so much of their music is still played. I guess it is a matter to choice as to what music/band you prefer but I think after all is said and done I would have to say the Beatles.

The Beatles were the trendsetters for the British music invasion whilst the Stones and 100's of other groups followed on' There still are 1960's British groups still performing today and all these have outlasted the Beatles but to me The beat;es are the greatest with all others just jumping on the bandwagon

Must be The Rolling Stones, they are still going after 57 years. Many many thanks to Keith and Mick and Ronnie and Charlie! By the way, which group has 50% of it's members "knighted" and 50% left handed? The Beatles - Ringo and Paul both knighted and both left handed. Why their harmony was so good was that Paul and John could sing from the same mike! How many beatles appear on the cover of Abbey Road - 5!!!

Mine would have to be the Beatles. I could always understand their lyrics and loved watching their animated show too.

The Beatles "Yesterday" is the most covered song according to the Guiness Book of Records. I think some of their songs are classics and still sung my many now 50 plus years on. Of course we know the Stones songs in general but I don't think theirs have that many covers.

The Rolling Stones --hell they are still going !! Mick not as bouncy as 25 years ago but if I am able to cavort around like him at his age Ill be very happy --along with the bank balance !!

I have always loved the Beatles since I was young. I have a few of their albums. I used to love to listen and sing along to their songs. The music was easy to listen to and you knew the words.

I would say the Beatles I can never stop listening to them for 30 years since I was 13

The Stones were a great band (one of many) The Beatles actually changed music completely...that was a tough act to follow...even the Stones changed

Never liked the beatles, loved the Monkees and after spending a week sick in the bedroom I shared with my younger sister and having to see her Beatle posters I liked them even less

Absolutely without a doubt The Rolling Stones they are still together there’s been no Beatles since 1970. And yes Beatles and Lennon McCartney are prolific songwriters but The Stones have the most catchiest songs in their repetouir then any other sing writers and songs in history. Sorry there is no comparison when it comes to actuall rock and roll prolificness and super stardom.
