What do you like doing during the week?
The dog house17-Sep-22 06:36 pm
I like to go out with friends for a coffee and talk about a variety of topics. Another day I will go to bingo with a family member. Reading is a good pass time in the evening before bed. Walking my dog Jackie Chan every day, no specific times, depending on the weather. I dislike cleaning but it has to be done. shopping twice a week. The computer takes up most of my day. Sad case but I am addicted. The weekend is for visitors or staying in.

Never put off to tomorrow what you can do today because if you liked it today you can do it again tomorrow.

every bottle I drink has a surname, I never take them for walks though, i love doing art on old things, I have sold some surprisingly, and spend plenty of time with grandkids, slowly building a garden, veggies and such, now venturing in to woodburning and I listen to hours of music daily,Spotify has become my best friend

Every day is pretty much the same when you retire..it is tough keeping up with what day..month and year it is .....I like it that way

Suzy Q after that little roundup, I'd have to say you've probably outlined the greater amount of "doing" per week for all of us. I could add for me that I garden but old age and aches and pains have slowed most of that. For some of my friends lately it's a frequent comment - "went to so and so's funeral this week".

What I like doing and what I actually do are 2 different things..I love volunteering at RDA..we have the horses on our property..so that in itself takes a lot of time..we run our business from home..a necessity ..and then stuff I would avoid if I could...housework...and with all this rain constantly fighting all the mud in the paddocks

A past time I enjoy during the week is going to the library and either participating in one of their classes, activities, or just checking out some DVDs or a good non-fiction title to pick through over the month. They also have a "seed library" for checking out any kind of vegetable or underground seedlings for fruit that you can take and give it a go at home in the garden or if you don't have a garden you can try your hand at some herbs.

The seed library is a great idea. Wish our library had it, buying seeds are getting expensive.

Not much different than during the week. One advantage of being retired I can choose to do whatever I want whenever I want on whatever day I want.

I'm going to comment just because I think somebody should. Why does your dog need a surname ?

when people laugh, you should train him to water the shoe for them,,, i have a dog bout 21 pound, male, father full blooded jack russel and mama is 5 or 6 different breeds, he is interesting to say the least,, but best dog i ever owned as far as companionship ;-))

awwz i just knew he would have some terrier in him..what a treasure. Those foxies live a good long age too..you only know they are seniors from the white muzzles and face. My own wee treasure is 11 and getting some white hairs on her head! it frightens me a wee bit..love her so much!
