The best movie YOU have ever seen
BLACK LIVES MATTER25-Oct-24 04:06 am
The best movie I have every watch is 'Wolfen' release in 1981. A horror, crime movie filmed in film nor style with all scenes at night. The ending of the movie will catch you completely off guard - rated GP - no sex scenes in the movie! Not the type of movie you watch with your kids because it has dark humor and very dark psychological overtones in the movie!

  • Starwars series is like my Favourite movies I can watch them a lot more than once and they're still interesting. as though I learn something new if I watch it again.

    • A few movies I have enjoyed are Amelie, (with Audrey Tautou) Apocalypto, Dune, (the original one) Angel Heart, and The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai across the 8th Dimension….

        • Hi Yin Girl. Never seen or heard of the movie 'The Boys in the Boat'. Enjoy the Dune Movies. The Dune Movies are based on a novel by Frank Herbert - the book is much better than the Dune Movies; however, the book can go into more detail!

Years later the repeated Waltzing Matilda theme got a bit over the top for background music but I was only fascinated by the "end of the world as we know it" effect. Thanks for your comment.

              • I would have to say, "Steel Magnolias" For me being born and raised in the south, A LOT of time in Mississippi... actually quite funny because it's also where I got license to start doing hair for the very first time over 30 plus years ago so it has a special meaning on that front too you'll have to watch the movie to find out what I mean, would say this was more accurate of what I experienced luckily. But not all ares of the south, even to today are much more conservative and a lot less open-minded about how people are born and the like.. another hint watch the movie. If you look at the cast, it is absolutely an extraordinary group of actors and actresses! It's stirs every emotion you could have over and over and over again all throughout this movie! For those of you who have not seen it please give it a shot.. LOL just an idea actors and actresses dad just adore that are in this movie pretty much all of them but you have Julia Roberts, Dolly Parton, Olympia Dukakis, Sally field, Shirley MacLaine folks, Daryl Hannah, Dylan McDermott, nd the list goes on, so I definitely highly recommend!! 10 stars from me

                • from the south - don't have ANY pleasant memories of the south - I am Black, I grow up doing the color n white signs, segregated schools, lynchings, etc., and the south is still the most segregated part of USA - I don't watch movies that try to white-wash history and portray caucasian as human beings!

I m sorry you experienced that. I would like to ask though...when are "white people" like myself going to stop being blamed for all that our ansistordid? I mean, i do undrrstand being I'm gay...so please dont tell me about segrigation! WE are just as "white washesd" as you say that you.. during also why people turn everything that people say about the south into a racial issue and it's always seems to be the black folks that bring up the race issue, as it is important, some of us are just trying to talk about a movie that we love that I did not list it for a racial issues my reason i listed it had nothing to do with race it was not the primus of the movie. Please STOP with making everything out as race card!
                  ·
                • HeyYouBLACK LIVES MATTER
it's very very offensive for you to assume that all people from the South are like that or anything of that sort. Your last comment is totally inappropriate and when are people going to put down the bat, and get off the cross?, because we need the wood ...to survive the floods not to beat Caucasians up forever... even though most of us stand strong by your side... because of something that idiots of the Caucasian ancestral race started hundreds of years ago.? It seems to me that the south is still full of black folks, so why is that and their states are so ... red? GO BLUE you might find that more of us "Caucasians " care more than you think.
                  ·
                • If it isn't about RACISM or RACE, name one caucasian that was lynched by BLACKS - IN THE South. Ever heard of Emmett Till lynching.......

The Piano also a beautifully made film set in New Zealand.

Hi Walter ,the Movie Betty Blue is in English with subtitles but l'm sure there was a French version also as it won 8th highest grossing film in France in 1986. It's a psychological romantic drama based on a beautiful girl who unfortunately descends into madness. Based on a book 37.2 le matin. One most definitely not for the kids to watch as she's naked for a good deal of the time Lol! Loved that Happy day note also in Sister Act and Lauryn Hill singing as well ;))

To deal with a hostage situation, you should: Remain calm, be polite, and cooperate with your captors. Negotiators must slowly establish communication with the hostage-takers. Isolate the area and avoid deception. Have a policy against ransoms as a deterrent against hostage seizures.
