Oh this is a source of confusion for people who don't have the best people skills like myself for example. Funny story, I thought I was just being kind, talking back as I thought I was acknowledging a lady in my old job and I didn't really know how to end the conversation properly. Anyway I turned back to my desk and heard her silently mutter the b word because she thought I was trying to have the last word. It's funny because I was trying to make her feel acknowledged by responding to her talking. Moral of the story, learn to deal with people. I had a relative who was a last say person. She was both ignorant and annoying., oh and generally wrong ! Always worse after 5pm, as she was also a sink drinker...

I was the youngest by many years of all my siblings,,,,,,I learned early on to let them go on and on and eventually they will wear out LOL It was nice when they all moved out and it was just me and my parents, They were not like that,

I stay quiet and smile When they are going to stuff up, I let them make the mistakes and don’t interfere

My father used to like to have the last say . Problem was as I got older ..so did I! But of course out of respect I would just usually storm off ..but in the meantime I would hear either him or my mother say " and don't slam the d..... !" and before you know it .I'd had "my last word !"
