Sloppily Put Together Surveys
Mr Grumpy02-Mar-21 07:19 am
Has anyone else noticed how many surveys seem to have been put together by the company's work experience kid? Spelling errors in questions are a particular example that are all too frequent, but also lack of logic in either the wording of a question (questions with the word IF in them really bug me, because if the "if" is a no then I cannot accurately answer the question), or in the sequence of questions (example, answering "no" to "do you do X", then the next question starts "you said you do X ....". Goodness knows what they do with the survey results, because they cannot be reliable.

  • Oh my god! Thank you for bringing these problems to my attention! I thought I'd gone crazy and nobody was allowed to tell me! All the problems that others have mentioned in this question space, I have been subjected to. I particularly dislike those that require an answer, Regardless. The data collected must be wrong! And yet we, as the survey takers, are constantly being reminded about the importance of business decisions that are made off the results! Some survey co's are good, but...

    • I think its funny when they ask you "do you do/have any of the following?"...too bad if you haven't ..they make you choose one at random so you can go onto the next page...and "you said earlier that.." when you didn't..and then they make you make up the next couple answers to carry on doing the survey....all that useless information... "be honest, unless we make you lie"....wonderful stuff.....

      • They are getting worse! Ditto to everything you said Trevor. I just did one about software coding and working in IT. Every question was so illogical and ridiculous I felt like someone had just written them as a joke. I can't believe they can send such rubbish out without any checks on the quality.
