Comfort foods....
Missy Wyld18-Nov-22 06:58 pm
We all eat emotionally, actually we do this lot and don't even know it.
But what is your favourite comfort food though, when you really need a food nurture.
I try not to comfort food eat, as I find it is very addictive, however I have not yet mastered the art of not using food as a comfort as yet, when my emotions are in distraught mode (like now).
It is an interesting topic when you delve into it deeply at the scientific level, why we comfort eat with the foods we choose, so I am curious how much we eat the same type of comfort food.
Mine are lollies (for you Americans here, candy) and/or chocolate.

mmm great topic..where do i start haha. If i have the shakes from a bit of low blood sugar- because i've actually used some physical energy which my lazy body not used to- i have to snaffle a peanut butter and honey sammie. If i'm just feeling piggy then chip sammie, cake cake or cake, and of course choc. I used to wolf down hot chips but lately i can't do that without suffering later. And everything with a cup o tea n sugar.

For sweet foods McDonalds soft serve cones hands down, they do the best soft serve I've ever tried so far. At one time I brought 5 for myself and it was a challenge to eat before they all all melted. Anyway, as for savoury it's either those crumbed lasagna squares or a good Mac and cheese.

Which crumbed lasagne squares do u speak of?! And where can I get one ! And 5 soft serve cones at maccas?? hilarious! That's impressive;) I did see a man once buy 3 ,however he was in the queue speaking with his invisible friends prior to ordering.. then sat down and made sure they were all comfortable.Lined the cones up nicely and whilst animatedly chattering polished them all off!

I'm a fast eater, but even so it is a challenge to make sure none melts on my hand. The lasagna squares either from local bakery or you can get a bulk pack from the freezer section of the supermarket where they sell frozen schnitzel and calamari usually, then you just chuck it in the oven according to cooking instructions.

ah so just regular type lasagne? It sounded like a new range that were totally crumbed and deep-fried, hence my peak in interest!lol
