Is Gladys Berijiklian a nuff nuff?
Christine M 32384201-Aug-21 12:42 pm
Is it just me, or do people think that Gladys needs to grow a set, and enforce harsher rules in order to get the Covid outbreak in Sydney under control, before she is responsible for a catastrophe for the rest of Australia.

It’s bloody tough isn’t it…get the ring of steel and curfew happening in those suburbs in North West Melbourne, then maybe, maybe it can be contained again. My brothers in Regional Vic. He’s a stroke survivor, but really needs me to be able to go and spend time with him. Although it would be considered caring I don’t want to be one of the clowns that refuse to at least attempt to stay put as much as possible.

Being the head honcho in NSW is hard, your in no way going to be able to keep everyone happy,by trying to keep some happy she has plunged that state into being a bit of a basket case, the lockdowns should have been hard and fast first up,now your going to be in the doldrums there for donkeys, being a true leader she would have not been to bothered what people thought and done the right thing by the people even if it had gotten her kicked out at the next election

She’s made bloody minded decisions that impact more than just the state for which she is the elected Premier. Maybe we need another Sir John Kerr kind of incident…

Your lockdown is completely different to ours here in NZ so I think she needs to enforce harsher rules because with people still wandering around the streets etc it will continue to spread.Yes businesses will suffer and jobs will be lost but you will bounce back,we did!

She's also trying to do the right thing by allowing businesses to operate. It's hard when people can't seem to follow simple instructions and guidelines. Do you really need someone to police your home's in order for you not to go out? No. It's very much up to the public. The virus travels when we travel, simple as that, so don't unless you absolutely have to, and if you must remember to wear a mask and distance yourself. Lockdown or not, we can all read and grasp the seriousness of this virus and how it's changed everyone's lives all over the world. If you still don't believe it's a threat which, many still don't then that's the issue. Every country is hugely in debt now, do you really want a full blown recession on top of a pandemic where people can't afford living expenses or rent because businesses are shut? No. It actually only takes 2 people to wander through the community to cause a spread that can get out of control, I think people forget that or think it won't be them doing it.

She and the NSW health adviser took too long to put NSW into lockdown and the result is the Delta strain of covid is out of control in NSW and spread to other parts of Australia. She was also too slow at the start of the pandemic in early 2020 because when infected people were arriving in NSW on cruise ships, with one ship they tested the passengers then sent them all home across Australia WITHOUT waiting for their test result, THAT lead to covid spreading across Australia leading to VERY high numbers of infections in Victoria.... She has no idea what she is doing.

Yes, NZ lead the way in how to deal with the current crisis, and with nowt a tank on the road to deal with recalcitrant clowns who are too selfish to understand that the reason that we need the armies extra manpower is precisely to deal their type, because they refuse to stop putting themselves and others at risk..
