How many different uses for Duct Tape can you think of?
Have you used it for anything interesting?

My husband uses duct tape to fix about everything, I have always laughed about that over the years.

Believe it or not, duct tape was originally called 'duck tape' because of the cloth material used in its development and because any moisture slid off it like water off a duck's back. Duck tape eventually became 'duct tape' when it was introduced into the civilian market and used to patch up heating ducts during the post-war construction boom. It was also changed from its original army green colour to the distinctive silvery grey that we know today.

i watched a guy wrap up a nasty cut with duct tape, not sure what the hospital thought but it did stop the bleeding... I have used it for flies and bugs and have several pieces hanging around the shed, also used it to remove splinters, pet hair, and lint from clothes and have often used it as a belt to keep my pants up is also a great insulator,

The Mayo Clinic have developed a wound patch inspired by duct tape. This patch consists of a liner, a nonadhesive layer and a layer designed to remove the moisture of the body. A surgeon would hold the patch by the liner, place it over the wound or in a wound, and gently press the patch onto the tissue. The chemical composition of the patch is such that when it touches the wet tissue, the patch removes surface water by hydration and swelling. Simultaneously, hydrogen bonds and electrostatic interactions of the adhesive layer cause initial bonding of the patch to the tissue. The surgeon then removes the liner and the area around the wound remains undamaged. Subsequently, covalent bondsbetween chemical groups of the adhesive patch layer and the tissue surface result in even stronger bonding within minutes, creating an air and liquid tight seal. If needed, the patch can be removed and a new patch applied to the same site again.

I think they use it in Rugby to tape around their heads, across their ears, trying to prevent cauliflower ears in scrums. Of course, I could be wrong.

I think of my step dad he always had rolls in every area of the house and in every vehicle would say if you don't have duck tape there's no way to fix important things needing it, and that's not a good situation home or the road it's the life saver of all things lol

Every time I think of duct tape I think of my brother in law. That is his cure all for just about everything. Duct tape can be used to put on the soles of your shoes to prevent from slipping.

People use duct tape for anything and everything. Leaks, use it on vehicles. It’s been a quick fix for quite some time.

Sticking car trimming on when on a country trip. Also stuck on covering to prevent leaking roof when tiles were broken. Great stuff. So useful to have on hand.

I know people who always pack a roll of Duct Tape when they travel. It's a must for that camping trip. Can always fix a leaky tent.
