My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in Ukraine

We MUST stand with all the people in Ukraine, keep them in our minds and hearts and pray for them.
It is very good to see that thousands of Russian people in Russia DO NOT want this war and are taking to the streets in protest knowing they will be arrested,
It is also good to see that around the world many Russian people are protesting with the Ukrainians in solidarity to support ending the attack on Ukraine.
I may be wrong, but based on the above, there is a possibility that many of the Russian troops DO NOT really want to be involved in the attack on Ukraine and are only taking part to avoid being shot for treason.
IF I am right about this, then one way to stop the attack on Ukraine is for the world leaders to reach out directly to those Russian troops and convince them to put their arms down, refuse to fly the warplanes, and refuse to operate the tanks
Everyone in Russia, Ukraine, and around the world is going to be affected by the current sanctions and the sanctions alone will NOT stop the attack; therefore sanctions are a waste of time BUT these world leaders are taking that action to make themselves look tough and to make everyone think they are trying to do something.
Putin has been trying to take control of Ukraine for many years but why has he chosen NOW to launch a full-on attack ??? We know Putin is a psychopath and a former KGB officer but has he now totally lost his mind? OR Has Putin been diagnosed with a terminal illness and wants to take back control of Ukraine before he dies? OR Does he just want to gradually take over the world ?
