As we use to have chicken eggs, and our Pop use to supervise the hard boiling, and he use to draw pictures and we use to be given crayons to colour in the pictures on the eggs

If I could I would do the first ones , the last ones done on the natural shell look cool too. A lot of crafty fine effort and a good set of lungs for egg blowing to do it all properly.

Not sure if it’s me but I feel the question is worded wrong. I can’t see how you paint eggs on Easter as it’s not a solid matter.

5 points for the Majority Rules!' Although, I don't celebrate, so I wouldn't color eggs anyway, unless it was with food coloring, just because it's a fun thing to do, especially to get kids to eat hard boiled eggs! But, NOT during Easter as to associate them to the holiday. ;-D

I don't celebrate Easter but the number 2 eggs aren't painted but dyed. If they hatch the chicks will be the colour of the egg but once the pin feathers fall out they'll be the usual white, black etc.

I know the dye goes through the shell, but I've never heard of anyone dying raw, fertile eggs before! That's interesting! ;-D

The coloured chicks look so cute but will be plain old chickens when the pin feathers fall out. When I was young we went to the agriculture shows regularly. The big one is on at present. The Royal Easter Show runs for 10 days over Easter when the cow cockies come to town with the best dog, best cat, best cow etc. best veggies, best quilts, cakes and so on. Today was the Guinea pigs turn. The last time I went to The Royal Easter Show I wasn't married so that was about 60 years ago. Many towns have local shows and right here in Castle Hill we had one until the last state government put a railway station in half of the showground. Now it's high rise they are building there. I am not at all happy because sometimes I can 't even get out of my street due to traffic.

Awe, Paula, I'm so sorry. Just think though, for Jehovah to make the whole earth a paradise, all of those building will have to be destroyed/removed from the earth! I never want to see another telephone poll again! ;-D

I'm listening to all the Easter messages and not a single one has been correct so far. They talk about Jesus dying but don't say why he died. No wonder Jesus felt sorry for their sheep.

It's been a while since I have painted Easter eggs.I cant recall ever decorating eggs another way but the old traditional way. I have no children but as a child growing up I have alot of memories coloring eggs and having Easter egg hunts. Good memories.

No grandkids or children of the age for painting eggs for Easter. I know that No 4 can be done with already printed paper but so much easier to just use edible colours to splash the paint on dry and then crack open later. But chocolate eggs are better than hard boiled eggs. I dont want an egg sandwich I want to indulge in biting into a yummy high cholesterol chocolate egg filled with carmel or kit kat crisps or marshmellow.

5 points for number two, the most popular one. Also the easiest to paint in plain colours. Have a Happy and Holy Easter everyone.

Just did a bad art class at the library last week and we dyed the eggs. Bad art was probably an apt name as didn't turn out the best

I am a hard-core-atheist - I don't celebrate 'any' religious holidays (Example: Easter); hence, I 'will not' be painting eggs on Easter - UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!
